ICA3PP 2000 was an important conference that brought together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry and governments to advance the knowledge of parallel and distributed computing. The proceedings constitute a well-defined set of innovative research papers in two broad areas of parallel and distributed computing: (1) architectures, algorithms and networks; (2) systems and applications.
This three-volume set LNCS 12452, 12453, and 12454 constitutes the proceedings of the 20th International Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing, ICA3PP 2020, in New York City, NY, USA, in October 2020. The total of 142 full papers and 5 short papers included in this proceedings volumes was carefully reviewed and selected from 495 submissions. ICA3PP is covering the many dimensions of parallel algorithms and architectures, encompassing fundamental theoretical approaches, practical experimental projects, and commercial components and systems. As applications of computing systems have permeated in every aspects of daily life, the power of computing system has become increasingly critical. This conference provides a forum for academics and practitioners from countries around the world to exchange ideas for improving the efficiency, performance, reliability, security and interoperability of computing systems and applications. ICA3PP 2020 focus on two broad areas of parallel and distributed computing, i.e. architectures, algorithms and networks, and systems and applications.
Advances in Parallel Computing series presents the theory and use of of parallel computer systems, including vector, pipeline, array, fifth and future generation computers and neural computers. This volume features original research work, as well as accounts on practical experience with and techniques for the use of parallel computers.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing, ICA3PP. The 47 papers were carefully selected from 157 submissions and focus on topics for researchers and industry practioners to exchange information regarding advancements in the state of art and practice of IT-driven services and applications, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future directions of parallel processing.
The two-volume set LNCS 11944-11945 constitutes the proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing, ICA3PP 2019, held in Melbourne, Australia, in December 2019. The 73 full and 29 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 251 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on: Parallel and Distributed Architectures, Software Systems and Programming Models, Distributed and Parallel and Network-based Computing, Big Data and its Applications, Distributed and Parallel Algorithms, Applications of Distributed and Parallel Computing, Service Dependability and Security, IoT and CPS Computing, Performance Modelling and Evaluation.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing, ICA3PP 2007, held in Hangzhou, China in June 2007. Focusing on two broad areas of parallel and distributed computing, the papers are organized in topical sections on parallel algorithms, parallel architecture, grid computing, peer-to-peer technologies, and advanced network technologies.
The evolution and popularity of the Internet and computing GRID has brought the cooperative computing research discipline to the Internet, for which we coined the term Cooperative Internet Computing (CIC). This conference brings together new and different approaches to CIC.The book contains the revised version of the 12 best papers presented at the conference, listed under four categories: theories and protocols of CIC, technologies and architecture of CIC, collaborative information retrieval, and CIC applications. This collection serves as a useful resource for those interested in the research and study of CIC.
The annual conference on Calorimetry in High Energy Physics is a continuous monitor of the state of the art and new trends in designing, constructing and operating hadron and e.m. calorimeters for high energy physics experiments. The fourth conference included sessions on Read-Out Devices, Front-End, Sampling Calorimeters, DAQ and Trigger, Crystals, Precision Calorimeters, Gas, Solid State and others, Simulation and Radiation Damage
The most powerful computers work by harnessing the combined computational power of millions of processors, and exploiting the full potential of such large-scale systems is something which becomes more difficult with each succeeding generation of parallel computers. Alternative architectures and computer paradigms are increasingly being investigated in an attempt to address these difficulties. Added to this, the pervasive presence of heterogeneous and parallel devices in consumer products such as mobile phones, tablets, personal computers and servers also demands efficient programming environments and applications aimed at small-scale parallel systems as opposed to large-scale supercomputers. This book presents a selection of papers presented at the conference: Parallel Computing (ParCo2017), held in Bologna, Italy, on 12 to 15 September 2017. The conference included contributions about alternative approaches to achieving High Performance Computing (HPC) to potentially surpass exa- and zetascale performances, as well as papers on the application of quantum computers and FPGA processors. These developments are aimed at making available systems better capable of solving intensive computational scientific/engineering problems such as climate models, security applications and classic NP-problems, some of which cannot currently be managed by even the most powerful supercomputers available. New areas of application, such as robotics, AI and learning systems, data science, the Internet of Things (IoT), and in-car systems and autonomous vehicles were also covered. As always, ParCo2017 attracted a large number of notable contributions covering present and future developments in parallel computing, and the book will be of interest to all those working in the field.
