1. The increasing number of research papers appeared in the last years that either make use of aggregation functions or contribute to its theoretieal study asses its growing importance in the field of Fuzzy Logie and in others where uncertainty and imprecision play a relevant role. Since these papers are pub lished in many journals, few books and several proceedings of conferences, books on aggregation are partieularly welcome. To my knowledge, "Agrega tion Operators. New Trends and Applications" is the first book aiming at generality , and I take it as a honour to write this Foreword in response to the gentle demand of its editors, Radko Mesiar, Tomasa Calvo and Gaspar Mayor. My pleasure also derives from the fact that twenty years aga I was one of the first Spaniards interested in the study of aggregation functions, and this book includes work by several Spanish authors. The book contains nice and relevant original papers, authored by some of the most outstanding researchers in the field, and since it can serve, as the editors point out in the Preface, as a small handbook on aggregation, the book is very useful for those entering the subject for the first time. The book also contains apart dealing with potential areas of application, so it can be helpful in gaining insight on the future developments.

Aggregation operators consist of mathematical functions that enable the combining and processing of different types of information. The aim of this work is to present the main contributions in this field by a bibliometric review approach. The paper employs an extensive range of bibliometric indicators using the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection and Scopus datasets. The work considers leading journals, articles, authors, institutions countries and patterns. This paper highlights that Xu is the most productive author and Yager is the most influential author in the field. Likewise, China is leading the field with many new researchers who have entered the field in recent years. This discipline has been strengthening to create a unique theory and will continue to expand with many new theoretical developments and applications.
This book introduces readers to the fundamentals of transportation problems under the fuzzy environment and its extensions. It also discusses the limitations and drawbacks of (1) recently proposed aggregation operators under the fuzzy environment and its various extensions; (2) recently proposed methods for solving transportation problems under the fuzzy environment; and (3) recently proposed methods for solving transportation problems under the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. In turn, the book proposes simplified methods to overcome these limitations.
This book covers the underlying science and application issues related to aggregation operators, focusing on tools used in practical applications that involve numerical information. It will thus be required reading for engineers, statisticians and computer scientists of all kinds. Starting with detailed introductions to information fusion and integration, measurement and probability theory, fuzzy sets, and functional equations, the authors then cover numerous topics in detail, including the synthesis of judgements, fuzzy measures, weighted means and fuzzy integrals.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 13th Conference of the European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology, EUSFLAT 2023, and 12th International Summer School on Aggregation Operators, AGOP 2023, jointly held in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, during September 4–8, 2023. The 71 full papers presented in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 161 submissions. The papers are divided into special sessions on: Interval uncertainty; information fusion techniques based on aggregation functions, preaggregation functions and their generalizations; evaluative linguistic expressions, generalized quantifiers and applications; neural networks under uncertainty and imperfect information; imprecision modeling and management in XAI systems; recent trends in mathematical fuzzy logics; fuzzy graph-based models: theory and application; new frontiers of computational intelligence for pervasive healthcare systems; fuzzy implication functions; and new challenges and ideas in statistical inference and data analysis.
The aim of this paper is to introduce some new operators for aggregating single-valued neutrosophic (SVN) information and to apply them to solve the multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems.
For real decision-making problems, aggregating the attributes which have interactive or correlated characteristics by traditional aggregation operators is unsuitable. Thus, applying Choquet integral operator to approximate and simulate human subjective decision-making process, in which independence among the input arguments is not necessarily assumed, would be suitable. Moreover, using single-valued neutrosophic uncertain linguistic sets (SVNULSs) can express the indeterminate, inconsistent, and incomplete information better than FSs and IFSs. In this paper, we studied the MAGDM problems with SVNULSs and proposed two single-valued neutrosophic uncertain linguistic Choquet integrate aggregation operators where the interactions phenomena among the attributes or the experts are considered. First, the definition, operational rules, and comparison method of single-valued neutrosophic uncertain linguistic numbers (SVNULNs) are introduced briefly. Second, induced single-valued neutrosophic uncertain linguistic Choquet ordered averaging (I-SVNULCA) operator and induced single-valued neutrosophic uncertain linguistic Choquet geometric (I-SVNULCG) operator are presented. Moreover, a few of its properties are discussed. Further, the procedure and algorithm of MAGDM based on the above single-valued neutrosophic uncertain linguistic Choquet integral operator are proposed. Finally, in the illustrative example, the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed method would be demonstrated.
Neutrosophic sets (NS) contain the three ranges: truth, indeterminacy, and falsity membership degrees, and are very useful for describing and handling the uncertainties in the real life problem.
Keeping in view the importance of new defined and well growing spherical fuzzy sets, in this study, we proposed a novel method to handle the spherical fuzzy multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) problems. Firstly, we presented some novel logarithmic operations of spherical fuzzy sets (SFSs). Then, we proposed series of novel logarithmic operators, namely spherical fuzzy weighted average operators and spherical fuzzy weighted geometric operators.
