On behalf of the Organizing Committee for this event, we are glad to welcome you to IWASE 2006, the First International Workshop on Advanced Software Engineering. We hope you will enjoy the traditional Chilean hospitality and, of course, please tell us how we can make your visit a pleasant and useful experience. The goal of this Workshop is to create a new forum for researchers, professionals and educators to discuss advanced software engineering topics. A distinctive feature of this Workshop is its attempt to foster interactions between the Latin-American software engineering community and computer scientists around the world. This is an opportunity to discuss with other researchers or simply to meet new colleagues. IWASE 2006 has been organized to facilitate strong interactions among those attending it and to offer ample time for discussing each paper. IWASE 2006 attracted 28 submissions from 14 countries, 8 of them outside Latin-America. Each of the 28 articles was reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. As a result of this rigorous reviewing process, 13 papers were accepted: nine fiill papers and four work-in-progress papers. These papers were grouped in four tracks; software architecture, software modeling, software development process and experiences in software development.
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the First International Conference on Software Engineering Approaches for Offshore and Outsourced Development, SEAFOOD 2007, Zurich, Switzerland, in February 2007. The 15 revised full papers constitute a balanced mix of academic and industrial aspects and address topical regions such as processes, education, country reports, evaluation and assessment, communication and distribution, as well as tools.
To build reliable, industry-applicable software products, large-scale software project groups must continuously improve software engineering processes to increase product quality, facilitate cost reductions, and adhere to tight schedules. Emphasizing the critical components of successful large-scale software projects, Software Project Management: A
This book constitutes the proceedings of the first Asia Pacific Requirements Engineering Symposium, APRES 2014, held in Auckland, New Zealand, in April 2014. The 16 papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 30 submissions. The focus of the papers is on the following topics: novel ideas, methods, tools, and techniques for improving and enhancing Requirement Engineering products and processes.
Information Systems Development: Reflections, Challenges and New Directions, is the collected proceedings of the 20th International Conference on Information Systems Development held in Edinburgh, Scotland, August 24 - 26, 2011. It follows in the tradition of previous conferences in the series in exploring the connections between industry, research and education. These proceedings represent ongoing reflections within the academic community on established information systems topics and emerging concepts, approaches and ideas. It is hoped that the papers herein contribute towards disseminating research and improving practice
"This book's main objective is to present some of the key approaches, research lines, and challenges that exist in the field of security in SOA systems"--Provided by publisher.
Learn to combine security theory and code to produce secure systems Security is clearly a crucial issue to consider during the design and implementation of any distributed software architecture. Security patterns are increasingly being used by developers who take security into serious consideration from the creation of their work. Written by the authority on security patterns, this unique book examines the structure and purpose of security patterns, illustrating their use with the help of detailed implementation advice, numerous code samples, and descriptions in UML. Provides an extensive, up-to-date catalog of security patterns Shares real-world case studies so you can see when and how to use security patterns in practice Details how to incorporate security from the conceptual stage Highlights tips on authentication, authorization, role-based access control, firewalls, wireless networks, middleware, VoIP, web services security, and more Author is well known and highly respected in the field of security and an expert on security patterns Security Patterns in Practice shows you how to confidently develop a secure system step by step.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Symposium on Cyberspace Safety and Security (CSS 2012), held in Melbourne, Australia, in December 2012. The 30 revised full papers presented together with 7 invited talks were carefully reviewed and selected from 105 submissions. The papers cover the following topics: mobile security, cyberspace attacks and defense, security application adn systems, network and cloud security, wireless security, security protocols and models.
This book addresses the increasing demand to guarantee privacy, integrity, and availability of resources in networks and distributed systems. It first reviews security issues and challenges in content distribution networks, describes key agreement protocols based on the Diffie-Hellman key exchange and key management protocols for complex distributed systems like the Internet, and discusses securing design patterns for distributed systems. The next section focuses on security in mobile computing and wireless networks. After a section on grid computing security, the book presents an overview of security solutions for pervasive healthcare systems and surveys wireless sensor network security.
This book brings together a selection of the best papers from the seventeenth edition of the Forum on specification and Design Languages Conference (FDL), which took place on October 14-16, 2014, in Munich, Germany. FDL is a well-established international forum devoted to dissemination of research results, practical experiences and new ideas in the application of specification, design and verification languages to the design, modeling and verification of integrated circuits, complex hardware/software embedded systems, and mixed-technology systems.
