Excerpt from Acts and Joint Resolutions Passed by the General Assembly of the State of Virginia: During the Extra Session of 1902-3-4 Whereas, by an act of the general assembly of Virginia, approved Feb ruary twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred, the town council of Luray, Vir ginia, were authorized and empowered= by the issue and sale of bonds of said: town to borrow a sum of money, not exceeding thirty-five thousand dollars, for the purpose of constructing and establishing a system of water works in and for the use of the said town; and, Whereas, the said sum of money was realized in the manner provided in said act, and said system of water works has been constructed and com pleted at a less cost than thirty-five thousand dollars, and there is a bal ance of said fund in the treasury of the said town, and it is necessary, and it is desired by the citizens of the said town, to construct a new bridge within the corporate limits of said town: therefore.
