In Hallie’s second year at a boarding school for witches, she hones her ability to control other people—but can she control her heart? This magical M!X novel is a companion to The XYZs of Being Wicked. Now that Hallie is in her second year at Dowling Academy, she can finally move to where all of the Crafters live—which means good-bye to her arch-nemesis roommate Kendall, and hello to her best friend, Ivy. But not all change is so welcome: her newfound powers require more of her attention, and even though she wants nothing to with the black magic that allows her to control the thoughts and actions of others, she’s not sure how much choice she really has. Hallie finds a very cute distraction from her moral dilemma: Cody Rae, a fellow Dowling student who is like royalty at the school, and comes from a lineage of very powerful witches. Even though she hears he is planning to ask her to the biggest social event of the year—the Summer Solstice Dance—Hallie has her doubts about Cody. But soon she will discover they have more in common than she ever imagined…
Kingston Lakes is a quiet town. During long summer days, the residents barely have a care. They almost never have to worry about the rise of a bloodthirsty demon who wants to feast on their flesh and enslave their immortal souls. Almost never.
A novella from New York Times bestseller, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. (Book 3.5 of the Accidentally Yours Series) THE GOD OF MALE VIRILITY HAS NEVER HAD A DATE, BUT HE'D REALLY LIKE ONE WITH HER. "Make no mistake, I am not the sort of god who enjoys playing games. When I return, you will tell me everything--who and what you are--then we shall spend the evening making love." When Maggie O'Hare hears those words, she thinks she's lost her mind. One minute she's traipsing around the Mayan jungle looking for her father's excavation site; the next she's accused of being immortal by a guy who swears he's a god. And as for the making love part . . . well, the fact that it sounds like a very good idea is a sure sign she's gone mad. But this guy who calls himself the God of Virility--he's superhot. And every time he touches her, something crazy happens. Backlum Chaam has waited seventy thousand years to meet the woman Fate has chosen for him, and now that she's here, he can't believe his luck. Maggie is brilliant and gorgeous and everything he could have dreamed of . . . except that she insists she's human. But Chaam knows that's impossible--a god could never love a human. And if he seduces one, their passion could have the power to destroy mankind . . .

The De Malo represents some of Aquinas' most mature thinking on goodness, badness, and human agency. In it he examines the full range of questions associated with evil: its origin, its nature, its relation to good, and its compatibility with the existence of an omnipotent, benevolent God. This edition offers Richard Regan's new, clear readable English translation, based on the Leonine Commission's authoritative edition of the Latin text. Brian Davies has provided an extensive introduction and notes. (Please note: this edition does not include the Latin text).
After getting caught hooking up with her best friend’s ex on the last day of junior year, Kendall starts senior year friendless and ostracized. She plans to keep her head down until she graduates. But after discovering her online identity has been hacked and she’s being framed for stealing from a dealer, Kendall is drawn into a tenuous partnership with the mastermind of a drug ring lurking in the shadows of her Brooklyn private school. If she wants to repair her tattered reputation and save her neck, she’ll have to decide who she really is—and own it. The longer she plays the role of “bad girl,” the more she becomes her new reputation. Friends and enemies, detectives and drug dealers—no one is who they appear to be. Least of all Kendall.
This carefully crafted ebook: "Summa Theologica (All Complete & Unabridged 3 Parts + Supplement & Appendix + interactive links and annotations)" is formatted for your eReader with a functional and detailed table of contents. This ebook is the best-known work of Thomas Aquinas (c.1225–1274). Although unfinished, the Summa is "one of the classics of the history of philosophy and one of the most influential works of Western literature." It is intended as an instructional guide for moderate theologians, and a compendium of all of the main theological teachings of the Catholic Church. It presents the reasoning for almost all points of Christian theology in the West. The Summa Theologica is divided into three parts, and each of these three parts contains numerous subdivisions. Part 1 deals primarily with God and comprises discussions of 119 questions concerning the existence and nature of God, the Creation, angels, the work of the six days of Creation, the essence and nature of man, and divine government. Part 2 deals with man and includes discussions of 303 questions concerning the purpose of man, habits, types of law, vices and virtues, prudence and justice, fortitude and temperance, graces, and the religious versus the secular life. Part 3 deals with Christ and comprises discussions of 90 questions concerning the Incarnation, the Sacraments, and the Resurrection. Some editions of the Summa Theologica include a Supplement comprising discussions of an additional 99 questions concerning a wide variety of loosely related issues such as excommunication, indulgences, confession, marriage, purgatory, and the relations of the saints toward the damned. Scholars believe that Rainaldo da Piperno, a friend of Aquinas, probably gathered the material in this supplement from a work that Aquinas had completed before he began working on the Summa Theologica. It seeks to describe the relationship between God and man and to explain how man’s reconciliation with the Divine is made possible at all through Christ. To this end, Aquinas cites proofs for the existence of God and outlines the activities and nature of God. Approximately one-half of the Summa Theologica then examines the nature and purpose of man. Finally, Aquinas devotes his attention to the nature of Christ and the role of the Sacraments in effecting a bridge between God and man. Within these broad topical boundaries, though, Aquinas examines the nature of God and man in exquisite detail. His examination includes questions of how angels act on bodies, the union of body and soul, the cause and remedies of anger, cursing, and the comparison of one sin with another. Aquinas is attempting to offer a truly universal and rational view of all existence. Thomas Aquinas, O.P. (1225 – 1274), also Thomas of Aquin or Aquino, was an Italian Dominican priest, and an immensely influential philosopher and theologian in the tradition of scholasticism, within which he is also known as the "Doctor Angelicus", "Doctor Communis", and "Doctor Universalis". He was the foremost classical proponent of natural theology, and the father of Thomism. His influence on Western thought is considerable, and much of modern philosophy was conceived in development or refutation of his ideas, particularly in the areas of ethics, natural law, metaphysics, and political theory.
