Snell having received a majority of the votes cast, was deo elated duly elected President of the Senate. On motion, Messrs. Long, Kilcrease and Pilor, were appointed a Committee to conduct the President elect to the Chair. The President, in an appropriate address. Expressed his gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by his fellow Senators. The Senate then proceeded to the election of Chief Secretary.
