It was the summer of '72 and Jason Helsing was born into a world that was supposed to embrace him, but only left him alone on this big planet to figure things out on his own. After his birth, Jason was whisked off to foster home after foster home without knowing what it was like to be brought up in a happy home. Jason had been teased all through his school years about how slow he was, and couldn't keep up with the other classmates on any subject he took. Jason didn't have nice clothes like the other students had. All he wanted was to be accepted, but all he got was heartaches. As the years peeled away, and Jason became more resentful towards his classmates, and his foster parents, the anger that was bottled up inside was about to explode, and the classmates that tormented him all those years were about to have their innocence destroyed by the hands of someone that just wanted to be loved, but instead got his heart crushed. One night when Jason was lying in his bed trying to get a good night’s sleep he started having flashbacks when one of his foster fathers was choking his wife, but didn't kill her. When Jason entered their room he asked what was going on and his foster father said, "Come in boy, and watch a real man in action." All Jason wanted to do was run and hide, but his foster father grabbed him by the arm and told him to place his hands around her neck and squeeze. Jason was scared but knew if he didn't do what his foster father told him to do, he would be beaten. So as her tears poured out from her sad frightened eyes, Jason turned his head, and squeezed, and squeezed. Then his foster father said, "Don't be scared it's only a game, turn and look at her." She removed Jason's hands from her neck and laughed. Jason said, "I don't find that very funny." His foster father slapped him on the back of the head and said, "Why don't you go play?" Jason ran out of the room confused at what just happened.
Nestled deep in the woods along a wooded path is an abandoned century-old crypt in an ancient castle that two girls will stumble upon, curiosity gets the best of them, but they will never live to tell about it. It all started when these two friends Alicia and Mary Beth accepted a dare to see if the legend of Drac Von Stoller the prince of darkness was fiction or fantasy. The two girls thought it was a joke and laughed all the way out the door off to what they thought was a waste of time to a night of terror. There was one stipulation about the dare and if they didn’t abide by it they would be humiliated at school the next day. The stipulation was that they had to go at sundown and take nothing with them but themselves and a flashlight. Just to make sure the two girls arrived at their destination at sundown the other girls that made the dare drove them to their destination and spent the night in the car to await their arrival with the news of their findings. Alicia and Mary Beth peered out their passenger windows in the back seat of the car and the fear of the unknown was starting to set in as the sun was dropping rapidly off in the distance but they made a dare and they were not about to back out now and be the laughing stock of their classmates the next morning. The car arrived at the right moment as darkness filled the sky. Alicia and Mary Beth looked at each other with fear in their eyes but suppressed their fear and turned to the other girls in the front seat of the car and gave their best performance of courage grabbed their flashlights and said let us go check out this fictitious legend and put it to rest once and for all and have the last laugh. One of the girls in the car yelled out as Alicia and Mary Beth headed off into the woods, “You just might want to take a cross and a stake with you in case you see a vampire?” the girls in the car laughed hysterically as Alicia and Mary Beth entered the woods with the unknown just moments away. As Alicia and Mary Beth got deeper into the woods the wind was picking up and thunder could be heard off in the distance. These two girls were on a mission and just kept pressing forward and hurried in hopes this would all be over soon and they could get back home and never come back to these woods again whether or not it was all made up. As the girls were walking more in-depth into the woods, Alicia said, “Do you see what I’m seeing?” Mary Beth replied, “Yes, I do, It’s an ancient castle. Why don't we go back and get the girls and investigate a little further." Before Alicia could get off the ground, a tall, dark figure appeared out of nowhere. As the figure stood in front of her, he said, "Are you looking for me?"
Jamie was thumbing through the newspaper in search of a weekend job for the summer. She was sixteen years old and needed the extra money to help save for textbooks when she started college in the fall. She tossed the newspaper on the floor frustrated with no results. Then one of the newspaper pages flipped over to the last page of the classifieds and there it was in small print, "babysitter needed for the summer." She said, "How did I miss this, maybe, I passed over it because it didn't say weekends only." Jamie called the number, and a middle-aged woman answered, and said, "May I help you?" "Yes, you can. I am interested in a babysitting job, but wasn't sure if this was an everyday thing or just weekends only," asked Jamie. "I'm sorry, but I meant to put weekends only, but I was in a hurry," explained the woman. "If you're looking to babysit every day, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you," said the woman. "No, this is exactly what I wanted. When can I start?" asked Jamie. "Well, can you start next weekend around five p.m.?" said the woman. "That sounds perfect! I'll see you then," replied Jamie. Jamie hung up the phone and was excited about having a job. That would ease her mind about how she was going to be able to pay for her textbooks. The week passed by like a rocket, and it was Saturday, and Jamie showed up to her babysitting job right on time. Jamie knocked on the woman’s front door, and the woman opened the door, and said "You must be Jamie, so nice to see you." The woman introduced her children to Jamie and told her she would be back by six p.m. Sunday night. The woman said bye to Jamie, and her kids, then got in her car, and drove to her business trip. Jamie played some games with the children then the phone rang. Jamie picked up the phone and said, "Who's there?" all she heard was heavy breathing, and she hung up the phone and went back to playing games with the children. Jamie checked her watch and said "Oh my! It's eight p.m., how time flies when you're having fun. Well children it's time for bed." Jamie escorted the children upstairs to the bedroom that they shared. She read them a story then a few minutes later the children fell fast asleep. Jamie got out of bed with them and turned the light out, then went downstairs to watch TV before going to sleep. As Jamie was eating popcorn and watching a movie called Halloween it started storming outside. Scary movies scare the willies out of her, but she still liked watching them anyway. Then the phone started ringing, and she picked it up, and said, Hello!" Then an eerie voice said, "Have you checked on the children lately."
What was supposed to be an upcoming author's dream would turn into a night of hell and become a curse to anyone who happened to glance upon the last writings of author Richard Valance from the unfinished horror novel titled “A Blast from Hell.” It all started when Richard and his jealous publisher got into a heated argument over the phone about finishing his book that went months overdue. Richard's publisher said in an angry voice, "If you don't finish that book tonight you're a dead man, and just to make sure, I'm coming over until you finish the last pen stroke. I've got too much money invested for this novel to die from someone who made a promise to me and did not deliver." "Calm down, it will be finished," said Richard in a voice of confidence. The publisher said, “I'll be right over." The publisher arrived moments later wearing a trench coat with something inside his coat that would be used when the moment was right. The rain was coming down pretty hard, and the thunder, and lightning were intense. The publisher entered Richard's home keeping his jealous thoughts to himself. Richard said, "Come to my study, I only have a couple of pages left, then you can take the manuscript and have it published." "Good, I was hoping this wouldn't take all night," replied the publisher in a mellow tone. As Richard was penning away at the manuscript, the publisher asked Richard, "What kind of paper is that?" "It's human skin," replied Richard. "Why human skin?" asked his publisher. “I was desperate and thought talking to this Witch a friend recommended to me could help keep my mind framed on the right path to finishing this book. The only downside to the fame this novel will bring is after the reader is reading it they will die under mysterious circumstances," explained Richard in a nervous tone. "You believe that?" laughed the publisher. Richard said aloud, "Just a few more pen strokes, and my masterpiece will be done."

The night finally arrived and all the people of the earth thought they were going to a better place, but they were dead wrong. The sky was blood red then out of nowhere came thunder followed by blinding white lightning. People dropped to their knees in the streets crying at what should have been tears of joy but instead were tears of sorrow. Not only did the beautiful sky turn a blood red, but their bodies were aging rapidly, and their bones were becoming brittle because the rain that was pouring down from the sky was bright red with some unknown substance causing every human that came in contact with it to age, and when they started to cry their tears turned to acid so they had to hold back their tears or suffer severe burns to their skin. All through the streets were people whaling in pain looking for comfort, but there was none, only death was their way out. Moments later a loud eerie voice followed by laughter came from the sky that could be heard from all over the earth.
