Stangl Pottery produced a great assortment of earthenware lamps and artware, but the company was renowned for its hand-carved, hand-painted fruit and floral decorated dinnerware patterns. The Stangl Company was the first American pottery to introduce solid-color glazed dinnerware in 1924 and was a major American ceramics and dinnerware supplier when European imports were not available during World War II.
