These records of deaths come from The Federal Union, a newspaper that was being published out of Milledgeville, GA. These records were originlly to be included in "Marriage & Obituaries from Early Georgia Newspapers." Unfortunately they were left out but were just recently rediscovered. This book should be considered a companion volume to the above mention book. These Obituaries mention not only the recently deceased but often times other family members as well such as mothers, fathers, children, sibilings. Cause of death is always given along with date of death and when a murder is committed, the person committing the murder is given as well. The Index mentions approximately 2,000 names.
